Jesus calls us to “make disciples of all nations.” We do that through our mission organizations at EBC. From preschool to senior adults, and everyone in between, everyone is called to live on mission for Christ. Our mission organizations seek to make disciples who spread the Gospel in Escatawpa and throughout the whole world!
Because we value pursuing Christ’s Great Commission, we ask every church member to commit to a missions organization. WMU stands for Women’s Missionary Union, a group that seeks to meet the following four objectives:
WMU meets on the first Sunday morning of each month for breakfast at 8:30 in the Family Life Center. Ladies, join in on Christ’s Commission, beginning in Escatawpa and going all around the world!
Because we value pursuing Christ’s Great Commission, we ask every church member to commit to a missions organization. Brotherhood is a men’s group that seeks to meet the following four objectives:
Brotherhood meets on the third Sunday morning of each month for breakfast at 8:30 in the Family Life Center. Men, join in on Christ’s Commission, beginning in Escatawpa and going all around the world!
Mission Friends is the WMU missions discipleship group for preschoolers from birth through kindergarten. Through engaging activities, games, and stories each week, Mission Friends will move from a focus on self to a focus on others. This builds a lasting foundation that helps them grow into the next generation of Christ followers who will fulfill His Great Commission. Mission Friends meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM
Children in Action (CA) is a coed group designed for boys and girls in grades 1-6 to come to faith in Christ as Savior while making missions an important part of their daily lives. They learn what it means to live a missional lifestyle while they participate in Bible studies, missions projects and engaging activities. They also have a lot of fun as they "travel" to various places around the world when they learn about and pray for the work of missionaries.
Children love to share God’s love. And, children love to learn by doing. Through missions discipleship, children learn to share His love in multiple ways, from collecting school supplies for back-to-school backpacks to passing out water at sports events, from taking a meal to a homebound community member to even sharing a smile or a prayer with someone who needs it. Children in Action meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.
No longer a child but not yet an adult, teenagers are living through a unique and formative time of life. That’s why it is so important to be sure students have a firm foundation before they head off to make their way in the world. Missions discipleship for teens instills a strong biblical framework, awakening a passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ and providing opportunities for students to live out their faith in a tangible way. Missions discipleship guides students passionately devoted to Christ into avenues of service. Youth on Mission meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.
